Product Description
I. Cable structure
- Conductor: Usually made of stranded copper or aluminum wires, it has good electrical conductivity and is used for transmitting electrical energy.
- Insulation layer: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) material is used. This material has excellent electrical insulation properties, heat resistance, and aging resistance. It can ensure effective isolation between conductors and from the external environment, and operate stably at high voltages for a long time. Generally, the conductor has a long-term allowable operating temperature of up to 90°C (some standards may vary slightly).
- Shielding layer: Medium voltage cables generally have conductor shielding layers and insulation shielding layers. The conductor shielding layer can eliminate the pitting and tip effects on the conductor surface, eliminate the voids between the conductor and the insulation, make the conductor and insulation in close contact, and improve the electric field distribution around the conductor; the insulation shielding layer is a non-metallic layer wrapped on the main insulation of the cable, which acts as a transition between the main insulation of the cable and the grounded metal shielding, eliminates the tip effect on the surface of the grounded copper strip, and improves the electric field distribution around the insulation surface.
- Inner lining layer: Generally made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material, it is extruded or wrapped outside the insulation layer to protect the insulation layer and act as a buffer.
- Armoring layer: Composed of steel tape, it provides mechanical protection for the cable, enhances the compressive strength and impact resistance of the cable, enables it to adapt to more complex laying environments such as direct burial underground and crossing roads, and prevents damage to the internal structure of the cable when subjected to external pressure or mechanical damage.
- Outer sheath: Also made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material, it has good corrosion resistance, waterproofness, and flame retardancy. It protects the internal structure of the cable from erosion by external environments such as moisture, chemicals, and ultraviolet rays, ensuring the normal operation of the cable under various harsh conditions.
II. Performance characteristics
- Excellent electrical performance: The resistivity of the conductor is low, which can effectively reduce the loss during power transmission; the insulation resistance is high, which can ensure the safety and stability of the electrical system and reduce the risk of leakage.
- Good heat resistance: The long-term allowable operating temperature of the cable conductor can reach 90°C (some standards may vary slightly). In the event of a short circuit (the maximum duration is not more than 5 seconds), the maximum temperature of the cable conductor does not exceed 250°C. It is suitable for power transmission under various environmental temperature conditions.
- High mechanical strength: The steel tape armoring layer endows the cable with strong tensile strength, compressive strength, and bending resistance. It can withstand a certain degree of mechanical external force, is not easily deformed or damaged, is convenient for laying and installation, and also extends the service life of the cable.
- Good chemical corrosion resistance: The polyvinyl chloride materials of the outer sheath and inner lining layer have a certain resistance to chemical corrosion such as acids, alkalis, salts, oils, and organic solvents, and are suitable for places where chemical substances may be in contact.
- Convenient for laying: Relatively light in weight, and there is no drop limit during laying. According to actual needs, various laying methods such as direct burial, threading pipes, and trench brackets can be used to flexibly adapt to different engineering scenarios.
- Optional flame retardant performance: According to different needs, flame retardant cables (such as ZR-YJV22) can be produced. In case of fire, it can delay the spread of fire, reduce fire risks, and improve the safety of the power system.
III. Scope of application
- Power transmission and distribution system: Widely used in medium voltage power transmission and distribution lines of urban power grids, rural power grids, and industrial enterprises. It is used for transmitting and distributing electrical energy and can meet the power transmission needs of different voltage levels (such as 6/6kV - 26/35kV).
- Industrial field: In industrial places such as factories, mines, metallurgy, and chemical industry, it is used to provide power supply for various medium voltage equipment and production lines, and can withstand mechanical stress and chemical corrosion in industrial environments.
- Construction engineering: Suitable for medium voltage power supply systems inside buildings, such as the laying of medium voltage power trunk lines in high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, and residential quarters. It can also be used for medium voltage power transmission of fire protection systems and lighting systems.
- Underground engineering: In medium voltage power facilities in underground spaces such as subways, tunnels, and underground parking lots, the armored structure of YJV22 cables can protect the safe operation of cables in complex underground environments.
