The inspection before use of hooks shall include the following:
1.Navigation boundaries shall be clearly marked.
2. The safety buckle should be in place and can work normally.
3. The hook should be checked for deformation, cracking, excessive wear or corrosion. Note: Wear on the surface of the hook bearing should not exceed 8% of the nominal size.
4. Check whether the opening of the hook is within the manufacturer's parameters. If the hook is opened too much, this is a sign that it has been point loaded or overloaded.
5. Check whether moving parts such as release CAM move freely.
6. If the hook is a ball rotating hook, check whether the hook rotates freely and whether the bearing emits any abnormal noise. Unusual noise is usually a sign of bearing fatigue or bearing failure.
7. If the hook has threaded processing handle, ensure that the threads are in good order, and the nut should be free to rotate on the threads to check whether the moving parts such as release CAM are free to move.
