Construction

Conductor:
The conductor is the core of the wire and is responsible for carrying electrical current. It is typically made of copper or aluminum, and its size (gauge) is chosen based on the specific electrical requirements of the application.
Insulation:
The insulation is the layer that surrounds the conductor, providing electrical insulation to prevent short-circuits and electrical shocks. PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is commonly used as the insulation material due to its excellent electrical properties, such as high dielectric strength and good resistance to moisture, chemicals, and UV radiation.
Protective Jacket (Optional):
In some cases, PVC insulated wire may have an additional protective jacket or sheath made of PVC or another material. The jacket provides additional mechanical protection against abrasion, moisture, and other environmental factors, making the wire more durable and long-lasting, especially in outdoor or harsh environments.
