Chamomile, also known as mother chrysanthemum, is an annual or perennial herb of the mother chrysanthemum genus in the composite family. It has a whole plant aroma and contains volatile aromatic oils, making it a highly valuable spice plant. Mother chrysanthemum is native to the UK and is mainly produced in the northern and western regions of China, Xinjiang.
Chamomile is known as the "noble flower" in Latin and the "apple fairy" in ancient Greece. It has an apple like aroma and is also a very popular health and medicinal product.
