Hypericum perforatum L., also known as St. John's wort, is a perennial herbaceous plant in the vine yellow family and the hypericum genus. Hypericum perforatum has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, astringent and hemostatic effects, regulating menstruation and blood circulation, and reducing swelling and pain. Traditional application fields mainly focus on sedation, anti-inflammatory, and wound healing.
