Inside the tube there is some gel present at the bottom, which is a pure substance and is very stable in physico-chemistry properties. Otherwise, the gel can avoid high-temperature decomposition and small molecules precipitation, hence it greatly reduces the risk of testing equipment clogging.
Gel can thoroughly separate blood cell and serum, specially keep serum nonpolluted from exchanging blood component.
