The flywheel in a jaw crusher serves several critical functions:
Energy Storage: The primary role of the flywheel is to store the energy generated during the crushing process. When the jaw plates of the crusher close in on the material, significant force is exerted, but this force is intermittent as the crusher opens and closes.
