Description of small oil plant
Generally, sunflower oil production line adopts the following manufacturing processes: cleaning of the seeds, crushing of the seeds, pressing and extraction of crude oil from these seeds and then further refining before packaging.
Cold pressing process
First peeled and broken to reduce impurities and improve oil yield. Then it is directly transported to the oil press for oil extraction. But cold pressing requires multiple pressings to improve oil yield.
After drying, the oil is cooked and pressed before pressing. The purpose is to reduce the moisture in the raw material and increase the activity and fluidity of the oil molecules, thereby improving the oil yield and ensuring the aroma of the oil.
Cleaning
The harvested oil-bearing seeds are passed over magnetic separator to removal any metal traces, and other impurities are being get rid off by Vibration Cleaning Sieve and destoners. Then the outer covering (hulls) of the seeds are removed, we obtain pure seeds.
Crushing
The de-hulled seeds are ground into coarse meal to provide a larger surface area to be pressed. Hammer mills or roll crushers are used to crush the coarse meal into uniform fine particles.
Cooking
Use roaster or steam cooker to cook the flakes to meet the requirement of oil press.
Pressing
The heated meal is fed into a screw oil press progressively, at the same time, the oil is squeezed out through the slots in the barrel and recovered.
Refining
The oil refining involves removal of the bitterness, color and odor.
