Cas17090-79-8 Monensin 20% Premix Rumensin Powder
The Introduction of Monensin 20% Premix Rumensin Powder:
Monensin, also known as "rumensin", is a widely used feed additive in ruminants. It was originally a substance secreted by Streptomyces cinnamosis and has the function of controlling the proportion of volatile fatty acids in the rumen, reducing protein degradation in the rumen, reducing feed dry matter consumption, improving nutrient utilization, and increasing animal energy utilization. The molecular formula is C36H61O11, and the molecular weight is 670. The premix is a yellow brown particle or powder.
The Application & Function of Monensin 20% Premix Rumensin Powder
Monensin is a polyether ion carrier antibiotic mainly used for the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis in chickens, lambs, calves, and rabbits, as well as to promote the growth of ruminants. Monensin can affect the ion balance of the parasite, causing the parasite to rupture and die. On the second day after infection, the parasite develops into the first generation of schizosome stage. Monensin can also improve feed utilization and weight gain by increasing rumen propionic acid production. Monensin has a strong effect on Gram positive bacteria (especially Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus, Bacillus subtilis) and Treponema suis, but its effect in animals is weak and not suitable for antibacterial purposes.
