Product Description
Closed suction system is commonly used in medical environments to suction sputum or secretions from patients' respiratory tracts while maintaining a closed environment, thereby reducing the risk of cross-infection. It typically includes suction catheters, suction machines, and closed tubing and containers connecting them, ensuring that sputum does not leak into the environment throughout the suctioning process.
Features
- Single Lumen
- 72H
- Double Swivel Elbow
- Y-Type & Push Switch
- Push switch and luer lock. This design can keep breathing and isolate the turbulent cleaning chamber, and prevent spray back, which reduces the risk of VAP for ventilated patients.
- Prevent cross infection. The closed suction systems are designed with protective sleeve to isolate the germs inside the patients and help caregivers avoid cross infection.
- The smart design of the closed suction catheters allows the patients breath-mechanical ventilation and suctioning simultaneously.
- Soft and smooth suction tip reduces damage to mucous membranes.
- Double swivel connectors reduce strain on ventilator tubing.
- Easy operation in suction process by being equipped with a wedge (separator) to disconnect and clip function.

Contraindication
- Patients with Serious breathing difficulties, respiratory tract and injury are prohibited to use.
Directions for use
- Prepare the closed suctioning system, suction machine, sterile gloves, mask, and other equipment. Ensure the suction machine is in good working condition.
- Check if the suction catheter, connecting tubes, negative pressure control valve, and other components are intact and in good condition.
- Evaluate the patient's consciousness, respiratory status, amount and consistency of secretions, and determine the need for suctioning.
- Ensure the patient can tolerate the suctioning procedure. If necessary, provide appropriate sedation or analgesia.
- Connect the closed suction catheter to the suction port of the suction machine, ensuring a secure connection.
- Ensure the valve on the suction catheter is closed to prevent air leaks or mishandling.
- Put on sterile gloves and a mask to maintain a sterile field during the procedure.
- Clean the patient's mouth and airways, removing secretions and foreign matter to facilitate suctioning.
- Turn on the suction machine and insert the suction catheter into the airway, typically inserting it 25-30cm into the tracheal tube until resistance is felt. Withdraw the catheter by 1-2cm.
- Press the suction valve with your thumb while withdrawing the catheter in a spiral motion. The suctioning time should generally not exceed 15 seconds.
- Observe the patient's response and the secretions during suctioning. Stop the procedure if any abnormalities are noted.
