The glass industry is a major consumer sector of soda ash, consuming 0.2 tons of soda ash per ton of glass. Mainly used for float glass, CRT glass shells, optical glass.
Soda ash can be used to produce ordinary glass, colored glass, tempered glass, optical glass, glass bottles, chemical vessels, etc
It is used in food industry as neutralizer and leavening agent, such as manufacturing amino acid, soy sauce and flour food such as Mantou and bread. It can also be mixed with alkaline water to add to pasta, increasing elasticity and extensibility. Sodium carbonate can also be used to produce monosodium glutamate.
