Product Description
1.1.1 Product
Flat cold rolled low carbon steel sheets (CR4), pickled clean, lightly oiled.
Sheet thickness; Minimum 0.6 mm Maximum 1.6 mm
Drum length / height Minimum 480 mm Maximum 1070 mm
Drum standard diameter 571.5 mm (Maximum 600 mm)
Overlap minimum 2.0 mm
Steel sheets should be pre-cut to size within the following tolerances.
Sheet width (drum length / height) + 0.5 mm
Sheet length (drum diameter) + 0.5 mm
Difference between sheet diagonals 1.0 mm
1.1.2 Weld Quality
For the purpose of proving the mash seam weld quality, employ the following tests:
A) Seam weld (ends); Destructive "peel" test;
Objective; Parent material parts before the seam weld parts.
B) Seam weld (body); Destructive "Erichsen" cupping (ball) test;
Objective; Material parts "across" the seam weld;
No parting "along" the seam weld is allowed.
1.1.3 Production Output
Dependent on steel quality, specification and thickness; And entirely dependent
On speed of sheet-feeding into the machines' roll-forming station.
Capability is proven upto 600 drums per hour at 100 percent efficiency.
