How the ZVA Automatic Nozzle Functions:

  • As the fuel flows through the nozzle, a vacuum is created at the valve seat. Air is drawn in through the sensing port at the spout tip, passing through the safety cut-out, moving past the diaphragm, and finally integrating with the fuel.
  • The valve remains open while the air flows freely. Once fuel reaches the sensing port, it swiftly builds suction, lifting the diaphragm and triggering the automatic mechanism to close the valve.
  • The mechanism also triggers if the safety cut-off's ball rolls back, obstructing air flow, or if the spout is tilted upwards or dropped.
  • The valve operates with the flow, ensuring smooth and precise low-control dispensing, and closes against the flow for a gentle, shock-less shutdown.
