Product Description

DOWSIL™ 1349 Emulsion is a 60% actives non-ionic emulsion formulated with a polydimethylsiloxane. Because of its non-ionic nature, it can be used in a variety of systems, such as non-ionic, anionic, cationic surfactant or polymer systems without forming a
complex. Extensive testing has shown that DOWSIL™ 1349 Emulsion offers good dilution
stability at 20% solids.

minimum smear in both car and furniture polish formulations
*** Mould release of: Rubber or plastic parts (stoppers, screw tops, bungs, etc.)
*** Lubrication of: Extruded rubber parts; conveyor belts
*** Textile lubricant and fuzzing agent
*** Surface treatment of Titanium dioxide
Benefits
***Ready to use non-ionic emulsion
*** Provides gloss and water repellency
*** Good wetting and slip characteristics
*** General purpose release agent including web release
*** Imparts softening and lubrication to textiles
Does not contain alkylphenolethoxylates (APEO)
*** Good emulsion stability up to 50°C
*** Good dilution stability up to 2% in water
*** High solid content and provides low cost-in-use
How to Use
DOWSIL™ 1349 Emulsion can be used as received or in a diluted form. For use as
release/lubricant DOWSIL™ 1349 Emulsion may be applied as received in a diluted form by
the conventional methods of spraying, dipping, wiping or brushing. Low hardness water
should be used for dilution. A typical dilution is DOWSIL™ 1349 Emulsion (1 part w/w) to
water (20 parts w/w) but the user should determine the best concentration and application
method on a small scale before production. For use as fabric finish agent DOWSIL™ 1349
Emulsion can be applied to fabric by padding. The amount of emulsion required will depend
on the fabric constructions and type of fabric used (natural, synthetic). Generally, between
6 g/1 and 25 g/1 bath concentration is recommended.
