γ-type alumina is produced by dehydration of aluminum hydroxide in a low temperature environment of 140-150 ° C, also known as active alumina or aluminum glue in industry. When heated to 1200 ° C, it is completely converted into A-type alumina γ-type alumina is a porous material with an internal surface area of several hundred square meters per gram, high activity, and strong adsorption capacity.
