plunger metering pump:

The plunger metering pump directly draws in and discharges the working medium (yellow) through the reciprocating motion of plunger. Since both the plunger and the seal are in contact with the medium, selecting the appropriate plunger material and seal type can ensure ideal performance of pump during operation. Plunger metering pumps are available in both valved and valveless designs. Plunger metering pumps are widely used in the petro industry due to their simple structure and ability to withstand high temperatures and pressures. Plunger materials include stainless steel and oxide ceramics, with oxide ceramics being highly resistant to and wear.

To address the limitations of conventional plunger pumps in high-viscosity media under high-pressure conditions, a valveless rotary plunger metering pump is increasing attention. It is widely used in the metering and addition of high-viscosity media such as syrup, chocolate, and oil additives. Due to the structural of being unable to completely isolate the metered medium from the pump's internal lubricant, plunger metering pumps are limited in applications requiring high levels of fluid. Plunger metering pumps are used to accurately dispense liquids without solid particles into pressurized or atmospheric containers and pipelines. Different models of plungering pumps can be equipped with variable frequency motors (capable of receiving 4-20mA current signals) or explosion-proof motors as per user requirements. Theunger pump head is simple, economical, and offers high metering accuracy, but proper selection and maintenance of seals are necessary. The automatic radial alignment between theunger and the seal ensures minimal wear between the two.
