Cutter suction dredger makes use of a cutter head to loosen the underwater material to be dredged and pumps the dredged material via a pipeline ashore or into barges. The powerful cutter swings of the cutter suction dredger around the spud-pole powered by winches while dredging, then the high pressure sand pump suck up the loosened mixed materials to the destination through the suction pipe. The cutter suction dredger is suitable for heavy duty and durable dredging operations with dismountable structure.
The cutter suction dredger is often designed easily to transport by road, rail or by ship due to its reasonable size and weight of the various dismountable modules. The complete cutter suction dredger consists of one main pontoon and two side pontoons which are mounted to the main pontoon using heavy duty steel eyes and pins at the bottom of the hull, they are connected at deck level. The pontoons are of welded steel constructions with heavy frames, beams and longitudinal girders. The customer bought famous brand sand pump from Australia and diesel engine themselves. They tried to find suppliers that can provide the cutter suction dredger body and whole hydraulic system, in which the steel plate should be complied with ABS standard. It is our honor to receive their inquiry. After communicated with them, they sent us dredger drawings. We found that the customer need a cutter suction dredger .They wanted to add a flushing equipment to wash the cutter suction head. We showed this request to our engineer.
