APPLICATION
Copper Pyrithione (CPT) is widely used in consumer paints, adhesives, and carpets. It can also be used in antifouling paints for ships to prevent the attachment of crustaceans, algae, and other marine organisms to the hull.
Due to the low toxicity and stability of CPT, it can be added to paints to provide gel stability and prolong the storage time of the paint.
Copper Pyrithione can also serve as a catalyst for organic synthesis reactions, such as the synthesis of organic sulfur compounds. It has potential applications in industries like papermaking and textiles.
Additionally, Copper Pyrithione has potential uses in the field of energy storage, such as in lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors.
