Product Description
Introduction
The DAM1 series circuit breakers from Shanghai DaDa Electric Co., Ltd. are meticulously engineered for the seamless conduction of current under normal conditions and proficiently interrupting it during short circuits, overloads, and other operational anomalies. These circuit breakers are designed for integration into electric units with an operative voltage ceiling of 400V, accommodating rated currents from 12.5A to 1600A.
These state-of-the-art devices proudly adhere to the stringent standards of EN 60947-1 and EN 60947-2.
Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers:
Thermal Protection Function: (Protection Under Overload Conditions)
The bimetal, which constitutes the thermal protection, comprises two metals with divergent thermal expansion coefficients. Upon heating, the bimetal bends towards the metal with the lower expansion rate, triggering a mechanism that opens the breaker. The bending velocity of the bimetal is directly proportional to the current passing through the breaker, as an increased current elevates the heat level. This ingenious design ensures the breaker provides reliable overload protection, activating at load currents exceeding the rated current.
Magnetic Protection Function(Protection Under Short Circuit Conditions)Another pivotal role of the breaker is to safeguardthe connected circuit against short circuits. Short circuits may occur due tophase-to-phase contact orphase-to-ground contact. In suchevents, extremely high currents flow through the cables, necessitatingan expedited interruption of the system's energy supplyto prevent thermal damage. The breakermust execute instant disconnection to shield theconnected load. The component responsible for thiscritical function is a mechanicalopening mechanism thatoperates viamagnetization induced by the magnetic field generated by the short circuit current.
