GMU500 series five-axis simultaneous operation vertical machining center adopts high rigidity gantry structure, which is compact and occupies small space. The cantilever-less design for Z-axis, realizing high precision machining capability in full travel range. The machine has RTCP function, optional five-axis simultaneous operation, and the cradle-type table is equipped with torque motor direct drive technology to meet the high quality machining needs of aerospace small parts, tools and precision molds, medical equipment parts, and new energy automotive parts.
1.1 Machine base:
The main castings of the machine are made of high-strength cast iron, with reasonably arranged spacers and reinforcement bars inside the castings. The castings are made with two aging treatments to eliminate casting stress and processing stress. The structure of the whole machine is thermo-symmetric design to ensure good thermal stability.
The spindle specifications of the machine are diversified according to the customer's process requirements, with a maximum speed range of 12,000rpm to 40,000rpm spindle, and can be integrated with ultrasonic machining module. The machine is suitable for machining hard and brittle materials, such as ceramics, sapphire glass, semiconductors, quartz, and other materials, which fully expands the machine's machining capability.
1.3 X / Y / Z linear axis transmission unit:
The linear axis of the machine are designed with fully-supported wide-rail structure, offering a rapid feed speed of 48m/min and a maximum acceleration of 10m/s². The guideway features top brand precision grade linear roller guideway (the width of X, Y and Z guideway is 45mm), ensuring high rigidity of the transmission parts, good dynamic characteristics of the machine, low friction coefficient and high positioning accuracy. The ball screw adopts precision screw (diameter φ40). The machine adopts quantitative intermittent centralized lubrication system for both screws and guideways to ensure timely and sufficient lubrication of each part and improve the stability and durability of each part. Linear axis are equipped with linear encoder to form a full closed-loop processing with high precision and accurate transmission.
The linear axis drive screw can be equipped with hollow cooling screw, which always ensures the temperature rise of the screw is less than 2ºC in the full-speed section, so that the axis feeding mechanism always maintains a high control gain.

1.4 AC rotary table unit:
The machine is equipped with cradle-type AC rotary table, the table only carry out linear motion in one direction, which overcomes the instability of accuracy when placing rotary table on the traditional cross slide structure.
The A and C axis are directly driven by torque motors, with no backlash, no wear, and good accuracy retention. The machine is equipped with Renishaw high-precision absolute angle encoder, ensuring high rotary positioning accuracy. The A-axis adopts double-end support, equipped with YRT high rigidity rotary table bearings, the overall rigidity is high. The A, C axis adopts a high-torque hydraulic locking mechanism, which can satisfy the machining needs of five-face powerful milling.
The rotary table of the machine can be equipped with an optional integrated rotary table turning function, and the maximum rotary speed can reach 1000rpm, which reduces the flow of processes in the traditional machining method and improves the accuracy of parts machining at the same time.
1.5 Tool magazine
The machine adopts flat chain type tool magazine with full servo ATC. The standard configuration of the tool magazine capacity is 24 tools, the maximum can be extended to 60. This tool changing structure ensures the efficiency of tool changing at the same time, but also to overcome the hidden danger of dropping the tool when using buckle type tool changing process through the traditional disc tool magazine .
1.6 Other Machine Configurations
The machine is equipped with a fully enclosed protective cover. For aluminum alloy parts processing, high-flow flushing system is optional. Before leaving the factory, the equipment has been running continuously for 72 hours without failure. The machine system panel adopts full-screen menu operation, liquid crystal display, intuitive interface, simple and convenient operation. The machine has a good observation window and an optional rotating window for observing the machining status during wet cutting. According to the customer's automation requirements for the equipment, we provide single-machine automation solutions or multi-unit line turnkey projects to realize automated high-efficiency and high-quality machining of batch parts.
