CNC cylindrical grinder is designed with high efficiency, high accuracy and maximum operational convenience in mind. The machine structure design fully meets ergonomic theorem for user-friendly operations. Rigid and stable construction, as well as a special wheel spindle design are combined with advanced CNC control to make cylindrical grinding easier and more accurate than ever before.
Mechanical Structure Design
·Ergonomic design: The design of OCD-2040 focuses on easy operation and reasonable structure, and its mechanical structure is completely designed according to ergonomic principles to ensure that the operator is comfortable in the process of use.
·High-grade Meehanite cast iron body: It is made of high-grade Meehanite cast iron, which is burnished and aging-treated before machining, and the slide rails are hardened by high-frequency hardening treatment and then precision ground to ensure that the material of the body is stable and free from deformation, and it has excellent abrasion resistance.
·Low-center-of-gravity bed design: The low-center-of-gravity design of the bed enhances the stability of the overall structure, so that the machine can still remain stable during high-speed operation.

Rigid work spindle head

The rigid constructed spindle head employs high precision bearings assuring maximum spindle stability. It guarantees outstanding accuracy for external and internal diameter grinding (opt.) and face grinding.
Precision wheel spindle
The grinding wheel spindle is made of high-grade alloy steel (SNCM-220) precision machining, normalized, tempered, carburized and sub-zero treated, precisely ground and mirror-effect treated to ensure that the spindle is free of thermal deformation and abrasion, and the grinding accuracy is as high as 0.001mm. Non-deformation, maximum wear resistance and lifetime accuracy are assured.

Wheel spindle hydro-static bearing

The hybrid hydro-static bearings are used for the wheel spindle. Metal-to-metal contact will never occur with these highly rigid bearings design and also avoid vibration, which also avoids contact friction between metals and improves the rigidity and anti-vibration performance of the spindle, and the accuracy can reach 0.001mm.
Flexible manoeuvring and precise positioning
·2 axis control feature: with the 2 axis control function, together with the rotation of the auxiliary fine work spindle, the grinding wheel head keeps straight line in and out even at any angle, making it easy to check the longitudinal position of the grinding wheel and the workpiece.
·With unique precision and manoeuvrability, the special micro-feed design allows mirror grinding and end-face grinding to easily reach a high precision of 0.1 μm. A wide range of optional accessories can be selected according to customer needs, effectively enhancing the performance of the machine.

Tailstock lubrication system

An automatic oil bath lubrication system has been provided for the tailstock to maintain high-level accuracy. An oil level gauge enables quick oil status checking.
