Before Using the YT29A Rock Drill:
1. Conduct a thorough inspection to ensure all components, including the rock drill, bracket, or rock drill cart, are in pristine condition and excellently lubricated. Verify that the wind and water pathways are free from obstructions, and ensure all connection joints are firmly secured.
2. Carefully inspect the overhead roof adjacent to the working face for any precarious or loose rocks. Address and rectify any potential issues prior to commencing operations.
3. Guarantee that the working surface is consistently flat to prevent any slippage or displacement during the drilling process.
4. Always engage in wet drilling by initiating the process with water to prevent dry drilling. Begin operations with water, introduce wind, and when stopping, reverse the sequence. Start at a low speed and transition to full speed upon reaching a predetermined depth.
5. It is imperative that drillers refrain from wearing gloves while operating the equipment to ensure maximum safety and control.
6. Be acutely aware of your standing posture and positioning when utilizing the air leg. Avoid using your body to apply pressure and refrain from standing directly in front of the rock drill to prevent injuries from broken brazing rods.
7. Should you encounter any abnormal sounds or unexpected water discharge, immediately cease operations. Conduct a thorough inspection to identify and resolve the issue before resuming work.
8. Exercise caution when withdrawing the rock drill or replacing the brazing rod. Operate the drill at a slow pace, and maintain awareness of the brazing rod's position to ensure safe handling.
