Triple Row Roller Slewing Bearing

Structure
: It usually consists of three rows of raceways with steel rollers as the rolling elements, and it has a double - inner - ring (or double - outer - ring) and a single - outer - ring (or single - inner - ring) structure, along with components like retainers and seals.

 
Materials: The ring materials are typically 42CrMo for large diameter while 50Mn for small diameter. These materials, through advanced metallurgical techniques and specialized heat treatment processes, possess excellent hardness, wear resistance, and fatigue strength. 

Ring hardness: HB280-352

Application: heavy construction machinery, wind turbine ,steel plant,

Single row four point contact ball slewing bearings
    This kind of slewing bearings can support high dynamic loads, transmitting axial and radial forces simultaneously as well as the resulting tilting moments. Applications of this kind of bearings are hoisting, mechanical handling and general mechanical engineering etc.
Single row cross roller slewing bearings
    This kind of bearings can support combinations of large radial force, medium axial force and tilting moment with small or zero clearance. Main applications of this kind of bearings are hoisting and mechanical handling and general mechanical engineering etc.
Double row different ball diameter slewing bearings

Receiving Inspection(forging inspection)

  • Inspect the Raw Materials: Check the quality certificates of the raw materials such as steel plates and forgings to ensure that they meet the specified requirements. Examine the surface quality of the materials for any defects like cracks, scars, or pits. Conduct chemical composition analysis and mechanical property tests on the raw materials to verify their compliance with the standards.
  • Verify the Dimensions: Measure the key dimensions of the raw materials, such as the diameter, thickness, and length, to ensure they are within the allowable tolerance range. Use measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and laser trackers for accurate measurement.
 

In - process Inspection

  • Inspect the Machining Process: During the machining of the slewing bearing, check the accuracy of each process, including turning, milling, drilling, and grinding. Ensure that the surface roughness, dimensional accuracy, and geometric tolerance of the parts meet the design requirements. Regularly measure the dimensions of the work - in - process and compare them with the process drawings to detect any deviations in a timely manner.
  • Check the Heat Treatment: Monitor the heat treatment process to ensure that the slewing bearing components obtain the required mechanical properties. Check the temperature, time, and cooling rate during heat treatment to ensure they are in accordance with the process regulations. Perform hardness tests and microstructure analysis on the heat - treated parts to verify the effectiveness of the heat treatment.

Final Inspection

  • Visual Inspection: Examine the surface of the slewing bearing for any scratches, burrs, or paint defects. Check the overall appearance of the bearing to ensure that it meets the aesthetic requirements. Inspect the assembly quality, including the installation of seals, lubrication systems, and retaining rings, to ensure they are properly installed.
  • Dimensional Inspection: Measure all the key dimensions of the slewing bearing, including the outer diameter, inner diameter, width, and gear dimensions. Ensure that the dimensions are within the specified tolerance range. Use precision measuring instruments to perform comprehensive dimensional verification.
  • Functional Testing: Conduct rotational tests to check the smoothness of the slewing bearing's rotation and measure the friction torque. Test the load - carrying capacity of the bearing according to the specified requirements to ensure that it can withstand the designed load. Check the sealing performance of the bearing to prevent oil leakage and dust ingress.
  • Packaging Inspection: Inspect the packaging of the slewing bearing to ensure that it is suitable for transportation and storage. Check if the packaging materials, such as wooden cases and protective films, can effectively protect the bearing from damage. Verify that the packaging is labeled with the correct product information, including the model, specification, and batch number.

INSTALLATION OF LYHY SLEWING BEARINGS

Preparation:
Make sure that the model is correct and slewing bearing isn't damaged during transportation.
2.  Check the appearance and rotational state of the bearing, such as rotational precision clearance, rotating flexibility, seals position, lubrication grease etc.
3.  The installation datum plane and bracket installing plane should be clean, grease, burr, paint and other foreign body should be wiped off.

Installation:

1. The screws in the installing plane should be fit with the mounting holes in the slewing bearing
2.  The slewing bearing has a soft zone marked with an "s" on the upper surface, when installing the bearing, it is important to ensure that this area is placed in a non-load or infrequent load zone.
3.  When the bearing is placed on the supporting frame work it is important to check the interface between these two surfaces. This check should be carried out with the insertion of feel gauges between the two surfaces. If a gap should exist then it is recommended to plane/resurface the effective area so as to remove the gap.
4.  Install slewing bearing with high strength screws, and choose appropriate strength bolts. All bolts are required to be tightened evenly. The sequence of this tightening process is shown in Pic. Welding of bearing is not allowed, in the event of welding any adjacent parts, heat transfer shall be avoided so as to cause the bearing to become deformed or change the hardness.
5.  After installation, the bearing should be rotated to check for smooth operation and any emission of unusual noise. If either of the aforementioned are noted, then the bearing should be adjusted to eliminate them. The teeth of the largest run-out are coated with green paint.
