  In deep hole machining with strict tolerance and surface roughness requirements, gun drilling can ensure the dimensional accuracy, position accuracy and straightness of the hole.

  According to the structure of the workpiece and the hardness of the workpiece material, as well as the working conditions and quality requirements of the deep hole processing machine tool, select the appropriate cutting speed, feed rate, tool geometry parameters, carbide grades and coolant parameters, with excellent processing performance.

  In production, its coolant is sprayed from small holes on the flank. Although the feed per revolution of the gun drill is lower, its feed per minute is higher than that of the twist drill (feed per minute is equal to the feed per revolution multiplied by the tool or workpiece speed).

  Because the cutter head is made of cemented carbide, the cutting speed of the gun drill is much higher than that of the high-speed steel drill. This increases the feeds per minute of the gun drill. In addition, when high-pressure coolant is used, the chips can be effectively discharged from the processed hole, and there is no need to periodically retract the tool to discharge chips during the drilling process. The characteristics of gun drill products are wear resistance, high straightness, high hole precision, and no burrs at the hole.
