Introduce

Forged shafts are shaft parts made by forging. Forging is a processing method that uses pressure to cause plastic deformation of metal materials to obtain blanks or parts with certain shapes, sizes and properties. For shafts, forging can improve their internal structure and make the metal fiber streamlines along the contour of the shaft, thereby improving the strength, toughness and fatigue resistance of the shaft.

Common materials for forging shafts are carbon steel (such as 45 steel) and alloy steel (such as 40Cr). Carbon steel is relatively cheap, has certain strength and toughness, and is suitable for general-purpose shafts. Alloy steel has better comprehensive properties, such as higher strength, hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and is suitable for shafts that bear large loads and work in harsh environments, such as crankshafts of automobile engines.
