Introduction to carbon fiber
Carbon fiber (CF) is a new type of fiber material with high strength and high modulus fiber with carbon content of more than 95%. The microstructure of carbon fiber is similar to artificial graphite, which is a disordered graphite structure and shows high strength along the fiber axis.
Characteristics of carbon fiber
Advantage:
1. Carbon fiber is a new material with excellent mechanical properties, which has two characteristics: strong tensile resistance of carbon material and soft processability of fiber;
2. Carbon fiber can have good size, about 19g / 9000 m;
3. Carbon fiber has electrical conductivity and certain thermal conductivity;
4. When not in contact with air and oxidant, carbon fiber can withstand high temperature above 3000 degrees and has outstanding heat resistance;
5. The tensile strength of carbon fiber is about 2 ~ 7gpa and the tensile modulus is about 200 ~ 700gpa;
6. The density is about 1.5 to 2.0 grams per cubic centimeter;
7. The tensile strength of carbon fiber is 7-8 times that of steel, while the density is only 1 / 4 of that of steel, and the specific strength is 20 times that of iron;
8. Carbon fiber has microwave absorption performance;
9. Carbon fiber corrosion resistance;
10. Carbon fiber has certain adsorption.
1. Carbon fiber can be divided into:
Polyacrylonitrile based carbon fiber, pitch based carbon fiber, viscose based carbon fiber, phenolic based carbon fiber and vapor grown carbon fiber. At present, more than 90% of them are polyacrylonitrile based carbon fiber. Note: at present, Mitsubishi is the largest supplier of asphalt based carbon fiber.
2. Carbon fiber is divided into:
Filaments, staple fibers and chopped fibers.
3. It can be divided into:
General purpose, high-strength, medium modulus high-strength, high model and ultra-high model carbon fiber.
Available Sizes(mm):
