The boron polyethylene plate produced by our company is a new type of composite shielding material made by high-temperature molding process, rapid stirring, kneading, plasticizing, enhancing the bonding force between boron carbide B4C and UHMWPE, and then high temperature and high pressure.
Borated polyethylene sheet is a product specially designed for nuclear and radiation shielding applications, its neutron shield properties have been tested and certified. As same as other shielding materials, this material can product Y-ray under the action of neutron, and Y-ray does is second grade relative to shielding neutron. Borated polyethylene costs low and light weight, so it is the best material to replace lead to shield neutron. The boron content is from 2% to 20% by weight according to applications and customers' requirements.

It is mainly used to protect neutrons and γ X-ray, with good radiation resistance, no activation products, secondary grade γ Low ray energy, high mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, non-toxic and tasteless, impact resistance, low temperature resistance and chemical stability.
The boron containing polyethylene sheet produced by ABOSN is mainly used in research fields such as major nuclear power plants, nuclear reactors, PetroChina, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, research laboratories, hospitals and product tanks for nuclear experiments, neutron beam collimators, neutron traps, control rod materials and nuclear shielding materials of nuclear reactors. As a material for shielding neutrons, rays and radiation absorption.
Boron carbide, borax, boron trioxide, lead powder and lithium carbonate can be added according to customer requirements. The content of 3% - 40% can be customized, and the finished products can be processed numerically according to your drawings or requirements!
