The structure of diamond grinding wheel is different from that of ordinary abrasive grinding wheel. Generally, it is composed of diamond abrasive layer, transition layer and matrix.
The working layer is also called diamond layer, which is composed of abrasive, binder and filler, and is the working part of the grinding wheel. The transition layer is also called non-diamond layer, which is composed of binder, metal powder and filler. It is the part that firmly connects the diamond layer to the matrix.
The matrix is used to receive the abrasive layer and is firmly clamped on the spindle of the grinder with a flange when in use. Generally, metal binder products use steel and alloy steel powder as the matrix; resin binder uses aluminum alloy and bakelite as the matrix. It is made of aluminum, steel or bakelite, and plays the role of supporting the working layer and clamping the abrasive tool. The quality of grinding wheel molding and the accuracy of use are closely related to the matrix.
