Corten steel is almost pure carbon steel but machined to provide a weatherproof coating on its surface. The surface layer is originally reddish brown (rusty-like tone), becoming darker over time. Upon proper use, the corten steel is vivid, long-lasting and maintenance-free, withstanding time in a unique manner.
