Product Description

Sleeve Anchor
Type: | Sleeve Anchor |
Definition: | Sleeve anchors are versatile masonry expansion anchors. They can be used in a variety of base materials, and they are available in a wide variety of diameters, lengths, and head styles. They come preassembled, so they are ready for immediate installation. |
Description: | A sleeve anchor is made up of three parts: an internally threaded expansion bolt, a split sleeve with ridges on the outside, and a nut. A flat headed sleeve anchor is a special type of masonry fastener made up of four parts: an internal stud that is flared outwardly and cone shaped on one end with the other end threaded, a sleeve that fits over the internal stud, and a flat countersunk head that threads onto the stud. |
Application: | Sleeve Anchor are used for anchoring and securing material and equipment to concrete masonry surfaces. Sleeve anchors are inserted into pre-drilled holes, and then they can be expanded for a secure fit, anchoring objects to the concrete, brick, or block. The wedge anchor, drop-in anchor and concrete strike anchor can only be used in solid concrete and have the highest & most consistent holding values in concrete. Concrete sleeve anchors can be used in concrete, brick or block but their holding values are less in terms of shear and pullout values. |
Others: | Sleeve anchors require a hole that is the same diameter as the anchor being installed. For example, a 3/8" anchor requires a 3/8" hole to be drilled. The depth of the hole that is drilled into the base material must be a minimum of 1/2" deeper than the anchor will penetrate. |
