The coating usually used is epoxy coal asphalt paint, which is generally coated 2 to 3 times, and the dry film thickness is more than 60μm. In the use of ships, it was found that the paint film fell off due to bumps and other reasons, and it needs to be repaired in time. Repair method: In a dry environment, sand the edge of the old paint film, remove dust and dirt, brush the epoxy coal asphalt paint carefully painted on the anchor chain, 24h later, the second coat, 5 days before use, during which do not drag and stack the undried anchor chain.

1.Question: How often should a comprehensive inspection of the anchor chain be carried out?
Answer: It is generally recommended to conduct a preliminary visual inspection before and after each ship's voyage. A more comprehensive inspection, including a detailed check of the chain links, connecting components, etc., should be carried out at least once a month. For ships operating in harsh environments for an extended period, the inspection frequency should be appropriately increased.
2.Question: How to determine if the wear of the anchor chain exceeds the standard?
Answer: Use tools such as calipers to measure the diameter of the chain links and compare it with the original design dimensions. Generally, if the wear of a chain link exceeds 10% of its original diameter, it can be considered that the wear exceeds the standard, and replacement or repair should be considered.
3.Question: What cleaning agents can be used to clean the anchor chain?
Answer: For general dirt and rust, clean water and a wire brush can be used for cleaning. If the rust is severe, a mild acidic rust remover can be used, but it should be rinsed thoroughly with clean water in a timely manner to avoid residues. There are also special ship anchor chain cleaning agents that can effectively remove oil stains, marine organisms, etc., and have less corrosiveness to the anchor chain material.
4.Question: Is there a pressure requirement for flushing the anchor chain with a high - pressure water gun?

9.Question: Can a slightly deformed anchor chain be used continuously?
Answer: If it is a slight deformation, after evaluation by professionals to confirm that it does not affect the strength and performance of the anchor chain, it can be used continuously, but enhanced monitoring is required. If the deformation is caused by excessive local stress or other abnormal conditions, even if it is slight, further inspection is recommended, and correction or replacement may be necessary.
