Product Description
Product Description

At present, the main measuring instruments of seawater carbon dioxide are the automatic monitoring system of carbon dioxide partial pressure based on water vapor balance method and the carbon dioxide in situ sensor system using membrane separation technology to realize water vapor separation. This kind of method has high analysis accuracy and quantitative accuracy, but the instruments used are expensive, complex pre-processing, high operation requirements, slow response speed, and most of the instruments are imported from abroad. This product develops polymer sensitive membrane potential sensing technology for direct, rapid, highly sensitive, highly selective detection of carbon dioxide. A low detection limit polymer sensitive membrane ion selective electrode was constructed by screening highly selective ionophores, thereby directly realizing the detection of carbonate in seawater, effectively avoiding the complicated water vapor separation, equilibrium process or pH adjustment of seawater samples.

The products can be equipped with ocean buoys, submersible markers, stations, monitoring ships and other observation platforms, applied to marine pasture, marine ecological environment monitoring. The ocean partial pressure of carbon dioxide parameters can be used to study global ocean carbon sink, greenhouse effect and ocean acidification. With the demand for China's Marine Power Strategy, marine CO2 monitoring has become an important content in the field of marine research, and is of great significance to the study of marine ecological environment in China.

Applications

Product Applications
(1) National Standardized Test Platform Sea Test
In September 2020, the instrument was tested on a fixed platform in Weihai for a long time and compared with the German CONTROS instrument. The experiment shows that the trend of the instrument is consistent with that of the comparator. The average relative error of the two instruments is less than 5%. The test instrument is a self-developed instrument, and the comparison instrument is a German CONTROS instrument.
(2)Yantai Muping Marine Fishery Aquaculture Zone Application Demonstration
In December 2020, the carbon dioxide sensor system was tested for 14 days in Yantai Muping sea area, achieving near-shore unattended remote monitoring, the instrument works normally and the data is stable. During the comparison with the German CONTROS instrument, the trend was consistent and the mean PCO2 was 300 μatm.
(3) Yantai Ocean Ranch Profile Test

On July 2, 2021, the instrument conducted a profile test in Yantai Ocean Ranch. As shown in the figure, it can be seen that the partial pressure of carbon dioxide increases with the increase of water depth, and the trend of the partial pressure of carbon dioxide is opposite to the change trend of pH and temperature, which conforms to the objective rule.

(4) Project Comprehensive Performance Review Field Comparison
On July 14, 2021, the National Key Research and Development plan "Marine Environmental Security" key special project "Development of Marine Biochemical Routine Elements Online Monitoring Instrument" successfully passed the comprehensive performance review of the project in Qingdao, scoring 90.17. During the outbreak of enterography, the abnormal partial pressure of carbon dioxide in seawater was detected by both this instrument and foreign instruments, with an average of 1328 μatm.
