Battery flatcar on the track
KPX flatcar on the track is a battery powered flatcar. Battery provides power to the DC traction motors and drags flatcar running. DC motor does not burning easily, with big starting torque, strong overloading advantages compared with AC motors.
Compared with KPD and KPJ flat cars, KPX flatcar on the track has better energy security, mobility and flexibility. It can move in the corners, turnout, running distance is not restricted, no insulation requirements for the track, so the battery flatcar has low requirement on rail track laying and low construction cost.
