What is PP/PE Geocell?
The PP/PE geocell is a mesh cell structure formed by a wide band of high-strength HDPE or PP copolymer that is strongly welded or riveted. It is generally made by ultrasonic needle welding.

Due to engineering needs, some are perforated in the diaphragm. Geocell is flexible and can be retracted and stacked when transported, and opened and filled with earth or concrete when used, forming a structure with strong lateral constraints and high stiffness. It can be used as a cushion to deal with weak foundations to increase the bearing capacity of the foundation, and can also be laid on the slope to form a slope protection structure, and can also be used to build a retaining structure. It can be divided into smooth, rough and punching geocells.


What are the basic features of PP/PE geocell?
1. The material is light, wear-resistant, chemically stable, photo-oxidative aging, acid and alkali resistant, and suitable for different soil and desert geological conditions.
2. Higher lateral restriction and anti-skid and anti-deformation effectively enhance the bearing capacity and dispersed load of the roadbed.
3. It has high bearing capacity and good dynamic performance, and strong erosion resistance.
4. Change the geometric dimensions such as geocell height and welding distance to meet different engineering needs.
5. It can be expanded and contracted freely, the transportation volume is small, the connection is convenient, and the construction speed is fast.
6. During construction, local materials can be taken, which reduces the construction cost and is easy to transport together.
What is PP/PE geocell used for?
1. PP/PE geocell is used to stabilize the roadbed of highways and railways.
2. Geocell is used for the treatment of embankments and shallow rivers bearing heavy load.
3. It is used to prevent landslides and mixed retaining walls under load.
4. When encountering a soft foundation, the use of geocell can greatly reduce the construction labor intensity, reduce the thickness of the roadbed, the construction speed is fast, the performance is good, and the project cost is greatly reduced.
