Pre-Milling Cutter Tool Maintenance
Handle tools with care to avoid chipping the edges.
Regularly clean grease and debris from the cutting edges to maintain sharpness.
If there are issues such as board chipping, rough edges after trimming, excessive motor noise, overheating motor, or obvious wear or chipping of the cutting edge, the tools should be promptly re-sharpened.
Clean the spindle and flange thoroughly when mounting or dismounting tools to ensure cutting quality.
Common Issues with Pre-Milling Cutters
Single-Sided Chipping: Check if the tool position relative to the board is correct and if the cutting edge is damaged; try adjusting the tool position to resolve the issue.
Tapered Processing Surface: Check the perpendicularity and concentricity of the spindle and tool.
Wavy Processing Surface: Check the dynamic balance of the tool and whether the feed track runs smoothly.
Uneven Board End: Check the matching dimensions of the main cutter and the jump cutter.
Rough Processing Surface and High Noise: Check the tool usage time and maintain (sharpen) the tool as needed
