A high-pressure separator is a kind of equipment widely used in industrial production processes such as chemical and petroleum industries. It is mainly used to separate multiphase mixtures (usually gas-liquid mixtures or liquid-liquid mixtures) under high pressure. Based on the differences in physical properties such as density and solubility of each component in the mixture, each phase of substances is separated and led out respectively, so as to achieve the purposes of recovery, purification or further processing in the subsequent steps.

- Petrochemical Industry: In processes such as crude oil distillation and hydrotreating, high-pressure separators are used to separate components such as oil, gas, and water in crude oil. For example, in a hydrocracking unit, the high-pressure mixture (including unreacted hydrogen, generated oil and gas, etc.) after the reaction is separated by a high-pressure separator, hydrogen is recovered, and the oil and gas are transported to the subsequent fractionation unit.
- Natural Gas Processing: In the process of natural gas exploration and purification, high-pressure separators are used to remove impurities such as liquid hydrocarbons and water from natural gas. The natural gas extracted from the wellhead is under high pressure and mixed with condensate oil and formation water. Through the high-pressure separator, these impurities can be effectively separated to obtain relatively pure natural gas.
