Battery Pack Extrusion Needle Penetration Testing Equipment Lithium Squeeze Puncture Quality ChamberProduct Description
Relevant Standard Testing Requirements
Safety Test for Single Batteries: The Squeezing Test shall be carried out in accordance with the following steps:
1.1 Charge the single battery according to the method specified in 6.1.3, and conduct the test under the following conditions:
A) Squeezing direction: Squeeze in the direction perpendicular to the battery plate (refer to Figure 1).
B) Squeezing plate form: A semi-cylinder with a radius of 75mm, and the length (L) of the semi-cylinder is greater than the size of the battery being squeezed.
C) Squeezing speed: (5 ± 1) mm/s.
D) Squeezing degree: Stop squeezing when the voltage reaches 0V, or the deformation amount reaches 30%, or the squeezing force reaches 200kN; observe for 1 hour.
Safety Test for Battery Modules: The Squeezing Test shall be carried out in accordance with the following steps:
1.1 Charge the single batteries according to the method specified in 6.1.4, and conduct the test under the following conditions:
A) The squeezing direction shall be the same as the direction in which the battery module is most likely to be squeezed in the overall vehicle layout. If the most vulnerable squeezing direction cannot be determined, apply pressure perpendicular to the arrangement direction of the single batteries (as shown in Figure 3 for reference).
B) The form of the squeezing plate: A semi-cylinder with a radius of 75mm, and the length of the semi-cylinder is greater than the size of the battery being squeezed but not exceeding 1m.
C) The squeezing speed: (5 ± 1) mm/s.
D) The squeezing degree: When the deformation of the battery module reaches 30%, or the squeezing force reaches the larger value between 1000 times the weight of the battery module and the value listed in Table 2, maintain this state for 10 minutes, and then observe for 1 hour.
