Phloretin is a new type of natural skin whitening agent developed by research mainly distributed in the peel and root bark of apples. As a cosmetic raw materialphloretin has received extensive attention from researchers in the beauty industry.
Phloretin, also known as trihydroxyphenolacetone 2,4, 6-trihydroxy-3 -(4-hydroxyphenyl) phenylaceton. It is a new type of natural skin whitening agent developed by foreign research and development, mainly distributed in the peel and root peel of juicy fruits such as apple and pear. Phloretin can be used in facial masks, creams, lotions and serums. Pearl-white crystalline powder, soluble in ethanol and acetone, almost insoluble in water.
Function:
1. Anti-oxidation and anti-free radical effects
Phloretin has strong oxidation resistance, and its antioxidant concentration for oil is between 10 and 30 ppm, which can remove free radicals in the skin. Free radicals are harmful substances produced by oxidation reaction, which are related to human degenerative diseases. External use can prevent saccharides from entering epidermal cells, thus inhibiting excessive secretion of sebaceous glands and treating acne with exuberant secretion.
Phloretin can inhibit the activity of melanocytes and dilute various skin spots. It has a good inhibitory effect on tyrosinase and is a very safe and effective freckle removing and whitening agent. Phloretin is also a good anti-alopecia agent.
2. Anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects
The results showed that under the action of phloretin, the amount of NO released by macrophages under the stimulation of inhibiting lipopolysaccharide and IFN-γ decreased obviously. The phagocytosis rate of megalithic cells also decreased obviously under the action of phloretin. Therefore, phloretin has potential anti-inflammatory effect.
In the aspect of immunosuppression, phloretin is a competitive inhibitor of sodium D- glucose cotransporter. Because it can increase the fluidity of lipid bilayer in cells, it can increase the types and activities of drugs transported across the membrane.
