Tower is a common type of chemical equipment, mainly used for mass transfer and heat transfer between gas-liquid or liquid-liquid. According to the different structures and applications, Towers can be divided into the following types:
-Plate Tower: There are many bubble caps or float valves and other gas-liquid contact elements on the trays, which are used to make the gas and liquid contact countercurrent on the trays to achieve the purpose of mass transfer and heat transfer. It is mainly used in distillation, absorption, extraction and other processes.
-Packed Tower: The tower is filled with various shapes of packing to increase the gas-liquid contact area and improve the mass transfer efficiency. It is mainly used in absorption, desorption, distillation and other processes.
-Spray tower: The tower is equipped with a spray device to spray the liquid into a mist and contact with the gas countercurrent to achieve the purpose of mass transfer and heat transfer. It is mainly used in drying, cooling, absorption and other processes.
-Bubble Tower: The tower is equipped with a bubble device to bubble the gas into the liquid to form bubbles, so that the gas-liquid contacts countercurrent to achieve the purpose of mass transfer and heat transfer. It is mainly used in absorption, reaction and other processes.
