Black Silicon Carbide, produced by Huamao (Gansu) New Material Technology Co., Ltd., is a synthetic material widely used as an abrasive, semiconductor, and diamond simulant of gem quality. It is manufactured by combining silica sand and carbon in an Acheson graphite electric resistance furnace at high temperatures. Additionally, fine SiO2 particles from plant material and silica fume byproducts can be converted to SiC through specific heating processes.
