The drum chute is a new type of gold placer selection equipment developed on the basis of ordinary fixed flow channels. It combines the advantages of fixed chutes and jigs, overcomes the disadvantages of easy settling in fixed flow channels and high yield in jigs, and thus achieves the characteristic of low yield but not easy settling.
The characteristics of the drum chute: basically retaining the original characteristics of the fixed chute, the original iron bottom plate is replaced with a rubber bottom plate, and a simple eccentric drum mechanism is added to make the rubber bottom plate perform up and down reciprocating motion. The diaphragm between each chute is similar to that of a jigger. This solves the problem of grid hardening and improves the recovery rate of gold. Due to the intermittent discharge of concentrate from the drum chute, the enrichment ratio is several tens to several hundred times higher than that of a jigger.
