Aluminum Sulfat
In the paper industry, it is used as a precipitant for gum materials such as rosin size and wax emulsion, as a flocculant in water treatment, as a retention agent for foam extinguisher, as a raw material for manufacturing alum and aluminum white, as a raw material for petroleum decolorizing and deodorizing agents and medicines, and also for manufacturing artificial gem and high-grade ammonium alum.Aluminum sulfate is a kind of inorganic white crystalline powder.
Properties: Industrial products are white flake, granular or blocky, with light green color due to the low-valent iron salt (FeSO4), and the surface of the product is yellowed due to the oxidation of the low-valent iron salt. The solid product of water treatment agent is white, light green or light yellow in sheet or block shape. The liquid is colorless and transparent to light green or light yellow.
Uses: Mainly used for water purification and paper making. Used as an assistant, colorant, defoamer, etc. to increase paper hardness in papermaking; Used as flocculant for water purification, urban water and wastewater treatment; Printing and dyeing industry is used as mordant and anti-seepage agent for printing; Oil industry as clarifier; Oil industry as deodorant and decolorant; Wood industry is used as preservative; Used as an astringent in medicine; Firefighters are often made into foam fire extinguishing agent with baking soda and foaming agent; Pigment industry is used to produce chrome yellow and as precipitant; Food industry is used as curing agent, etc.
