Introduction
Lactobacillus rhamnosus is a type of gram-positive, anaerobic, acid-tolerant, and non-sporulating probiotic bacteria that belongs to the Lactobacillus genus and the rhamnosus subspecies. It is naturally found in the intestines of humans and animals and possesses several unique biological characteristics that make it highly beneficial for human health. As a facultative anaerobic bacterium, it can grow in both oxygen residual or non-oxygen residual environments, can grow better in aerobic condition, and it can even survive in Nitrogen Dioxide conditions.
