High performance hollow glass microspheres (HGS) are a closed, hollow spherical material with a wall thickness of 1-3 μ m, containing thin gases such as nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Their main chemical composition is alkali lime borosilicate glass. HGS has a series of advantages such as lightweight, high strength, thermal insulation, sound insulation, flame retardancy, insulation, and stable physical and chemical properties, making it an excellent filler for thermal insulation coatings.
