Principle
Morphine, the main ingredient of opiates and MOR, could inhibit central nervous system. The principal metabolites of opiates are morphine, morphine-3-glucuroride, normorphine and codeine with a half-life of about 3 hours MOR is quickly metabolized to morphine. Thus, morphine and morphine glucuronide might both be found in the urine of a person who has taken only MOR. The body also changes codeine to morphine. Thus, the presence of morphine (or the metabolite, morphine glucuronide) in the urine indicates MOR, morphine and/or codeine use. It can detect Morphine in urine after taken for 2-48 hours.
