Main application:
Used as alkaline solvent in chemical industry and laboratory. The pyridine solution composed of pyridine and metal salts or organometallic compounds is used as a catalyst for polymerization, oxidation and carbonylation of acrylonitrile in the form of complex. It can also be used as stabilizer of silicone rubber, raw material of anion exchange membrane, etc. As a corrosion inhibitor, pyridine has a corrosion inhibition effect on metals, and can be directly added to pickling solution to achieve corrosion inhibition by its adsorption. Used as analytical reagent, widely used as solvent and liquid chromatography eluent. It is also used in organic synthesis.
