Typically, an oil seal consists of three fundamental elements:
A sealing material (rubber component), metal casings, and springs. It is a versatile sealing assembly.

[Oil seal and sealing principle]
The oil seal creates an oil film through the contact between the lip and the shaft, achieving dynamic sealing by utilizing spring pressure and material elasticity. When rotating, the lip contracts due to frictional heat, thereby enhancing the sealing effect; when stationary, it maintains contact to preserve the seal.

Widely used in engines, gearboxes, hydraulic pumps, reducers, and other equipment, particularly in scenarios involving high temperatures, high speeds, corrosive media, or instances where traditional rubber oil seals have failed. For instance, PTFE oil seals can last up to 20 times longer than conventional oil seals and are capable of sealing water, acid, gas, and other media.
