The shaft is rotated by the meshing of gears, and the conversion of speed and torque is realized by the meshing of gears with different number of teeth. The ratio of tooth number of a pair of meshing gears determines the speed ratio of the gear shaft. When the tooth number ratio is large, the speed decreases but the torque increases. When the number of teeth is small, the speed increases but the torque decreases. In the mechanical transmission system, the gear shaft supports the gear, transmits power, balances torque, and achieves the role of speed and torque conversion, so that the mechanical equipment can work at the required speed and force.
