Product Description
Black polytetrafluoroethylene is a high-performance material based on polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) with the addition of specific black pigments or fillers. The following is an introduction to it:

Material Composition and Structure

  • Main Component: Polytetrafluoroethylene is a high molecular compound polymerized from tetrafluoroethylene monomers. It has a highly symmetrical molecular structure and a high carbon-fluorine bond energy, which endows it with excellent stability.
  • Added Components: By adding black pigments or fillers such as carbon black, polytetrafluoroethylene becomes black, and some of its properties may be further optimized, such as heat resistance and ultraviolet resistance.

Chemical Properties

  • Corrosion Resistance: It has an extremely strong resistance to most acids (such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, etc.), alkalis (such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, etc.), salts (such as sodium chloride, copper sulfate, etc.), organic solvents (such as ethanol, acetone, toluene, etc.) and strong oxidants (such as potassium permanganate, potassium dichromate, etc.). This makes black polytetrafluoroethylene widely used in corrosive environments such as the chemical industry, electroplating, and sewage treatment, and it can work stably for a long time without being damaged by the erosion of chemical substances.
  • Chemical Stability: It is hardly eroded by any chemical substances. Its molecular structure is very stable, and the bond energy of the chemical bonds is high, making it not easy to react chemically with other substances. Even under extreme conditions such as high temperature and high pressure, it can maintain its chemical properties unchanged, and can be used with confidence in various harsh chemical environments.
