Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line features a specially engineered rotary kiln, crafted with precision to fulfill the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite and to meet the stringent process demands of the esteemed Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This kiln is the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, ensuring unparalleled efficiency and accuracy. products created by this state-of-the-art rotary kiln exhibit exceptional stability and consistent quality, demonstrating elevated activity and negligible ignition loss, perfectly aligning with the rigorous demands of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This advancement not only boosts the magnesium extraction rate and silicon utilization but also significantly cuts down production costs and reduces the consumption of metallic magnesium,. It is undoubtedly the essential equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium industry.
The exhaustive journey of magnesiumsmelting is unveiled through a series of precise stages: commencing with raw material storage to dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, followed by reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled through a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This finely processed powder is then compressed into balls by a ball press. The calcined dolomite is evenly amalgamated with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a pliable dough, which is placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within a reduction furnace, the temperature soars to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. Here, crude magnesium is meticulously extracted, refined, cast into ingots, and goes through surface treatment to yield finished magnesium ingots.
